Beaufort Wind Scale Print

'Hurricane', 'Fresh Gale' or 'Calm' - it's a breeze with this beautiful Beaufort Wind Scale print from James Brown.

The scale was devised in 1805 by Sir Francis Beaufort while serving on HMS Woolwich. It was adopted officially by the Royal Navy in the 1830s and first used during Darwin's voyage on HMS Beagle.
