Care Instructions:
Soft Brush Cleaning - Your sheepskin is naturally dirt and stain resistant, making it wonderfully low maintenance. A quick brush with a soft brush and a gentle shake will restore its full, fluffy appearance. Brushing allows air back into the natural fibres, bringing back its lustre.
Spot Cleaning: For light soiling, simply use a damp, clean cloth to spot clean the affected area.
Deeper Cleaning: For heavier soiling, hand wash or machine wash at no more than 30°C on a gentle wool cycle. Use a specialist sheepskin detergent—we recommend Woolskin Woolwash & Shampoo for Sheepskin, Lambskin, Shearling, Fleece & Woollens.
Standard washing powders or pods contain harsh detergents that can attack the suede, making it brittle and potentially discolouring the fleece. A specialist wool detergent keeps the skin supple whilst gently removing dust mites, pet allergens, and mould spores.
Drying: Air dry in a well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight. You may tumble dry on low heat if preferred, but never use a radiator or heater. Once dry, shake, lightly brush, and stretch out your sheepskin.
Natural Characteristics: Sheepskin is a natural product—minor discolouration may occur during washing or prolonged sun exposure. A distinctive lanolin smell is normal and will fade with airing.
